Carran Empliate Stone

The Carran Empliate Stone was a sentient shard of volcanic glass found in the southern part of the Borla subcontinent of Etheros in [early fantasy era] TEC by [finder name]. The stone acted as the center of government for the Imperial State of Southern Alton, wherein it would decide the monarchal succession.

History

The Carran Empliate Stone originated from a chance interaction between a sentient volcano and a piece of the Vile One. Soon after the manifestation of Etheros, but before the manifestation of life on the planet, a stray sentience discovered the presence of volcanoes on the planet. They become so interested in them that they decided it a suitable form for their own manifestation. They became the volcano, but also all the magma and lava within it. It remained there for many years untouched and unaffected by the goings-on of the planet's inhabitants until the shattering of the Vile One. With the rain of shards came one single shard falling directly toward the volcano. It was a small shard and did little more than break off a small piece of volcanic glass. This piece was the Carran Empliate Stone, and now found itself much less than it once was, being separated from the whole of its own consciousness. It was also corrupted, however subtly, by the Vile One, leading to its monarchal beliefs.
